Tracy E Moore (M.A. Distinction) graduated from Dundee in 1995; the
same year collaboration began with husband and metal sculpture, Mike
Cumming.
Mike, an Orcadian by birth and member of the talented Cumming family
of artists, was originally taught by father John, before establishing
himself as an independent sculpture, and the couple have since worked
on individual pieces and collaborative works for almost ten years.
Sculptures are either, mig-welded or forged, and incorporate mild steel,
copper and recycled metals, and recent diversifications include incorporating
copper, steel or silver plated wire, as well as the wonderful driftwood
found on the shores of Loch Ness.
Inspiration is varied and includes bird and sea life, with Tracy specialising
in mermaids, seahorses, fish and reptiles, while Mikes love of music
and keen interest in the Scottish landscape and its creatures, has resulted
in capercaillies, herons and musicians.
Prices are
equally diverse ranging from under £20.00 to well over £2000.00.
